Job Description / Responsibility

·         Ananda Niketon European School is a Child centered active learning school which is unique in acquisition of the age-specific competencies of its students’ in each subject areas. It ensures that each learner is able to communicate and write fluently both in English and Bengali. It is also unique in creating opportunity for up to 10% children in special need to mainstream.

·         Ananda Niketon European School invites applications for the post of Junior Teacher from young enthusiastic candidates preferably with English medium background.

·         Job Description/ Responsibility:

·         Implement prescribed method following training inside the classroom which would involve,

·         learner survey,

·         learner grouping;

·         lesson planning for each group;

·         following a time management schedule for each area of competencies

·         facilitating small group, large group as well as individual learning

·         engaging each learner actively every minute in an activity based learning environment

·         Assess and record each student`s progress following prescribed method

·         Get actively engaged in extra-curricular activities including performing art forms and sports

·         Take special care of learners in special need, if any, in the classroom, and encourage mainstream learners to help and support them to mingle and become part of the mainstream

·         Monitor students’ behavior, take action as appropriate

·         Perform all academic responsibilities related to students’ exams

·         Meet parents periodically and inform them about the students’ overall progress

·         Supervise students on rotation basis during break times and assemblies

·         Fill-in for absent colleagues, if and when necessary, as per school policy

·         Actively participate in school events

·         Job Nature and Location: Full-time in Dhanmondi R/A, Dhaka

Educational Requirements

·         Masters in English Literature or Science subjects from any recognized University

·         Candidates with O & A level from any recognized English medium school will get preference

Additional Job Requirements

·         Age 22 to 32 year(s)

·         Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in the related field

·         Experience in teaching in an English medium school will be given preference

·         Experience in handling Cambridge International Examinations will be considered as additional competence

·         Females candidates are encouraged to apply

·         The candidate must be smart, dedicated and well organized

·         The candidate should have excellent interpersonal skill and communication ability

·         S/he must have good command in Computer operations, especially in MS word, Excel & Internet

·         S/he should be proficient in Bengali and English language both in written and spoken
